A reliability and diagnostics update centered on the "calendar shows events but my chart is blank" problem: a new on-chart notice that explains why nothing is drawing, feed loads that now reach every open chart, and fixes for a News-window reopen crash and clipped alert sounds.

✦ New Features
  • On-chart "no news" notice ... when the calendar has events but nothing draws on your chart, the indicator now shows a card that explains exactly why and what to change ... the feed not being loaded yet, nothing starred in Show-Selected mode, all priority tiers hidden, the Date Range Filter excluding everything, no country match in instrument mode, or all matching events being in the past with Display-Past-Events off. Controlled by a new "Show 'no news' notice" setting (default on)
⬆ Improvements
  • The "no news" notice names the exact hidden tier ... when your in-range events are all a priority that is switched off (for example every near-term event is Medium while Medium is hidden), it tells you which tier to turn on and where, in the Lines & Priorities tab or the indicator's own priority settings
  • Feed loads now reach open charts ... the startup feed build and the 12-hour scheduled refresh push to charts, and the calendar's Update Events button redraws them, so you no longer have to hit Save to get a freshly loaded calendar onto the chart
  • Feed data diagnostics ... unrecognized or missing event impact values are now logged to xtapi.log (for example an event whose impact reads "Moderate" that would silently fall back to Low), making a blank chart caused by a feed glitch easy to spot
⚠ Bug Fixes
  • Fixed charts stuck empty for the whole session ... a chart that finished loading before the startup feed did held an empty event list until the next restart; feed builds and refreshes now reach every open chart
  • Fixed a crash when reopening the News window ... reopening created the window on a new thread while the calendar's country and event list updates still ran on the old one, throwing a cross-thread error; the window now re-attaches to the correct thread each time it opens
  • Fixed Display-Past-Events being ignored on charts not using global settings ... the past-events check always read the global priority settings, so a chart set to use its own settings still hid past events; it now reads the right source
  • Fixed priority news sounds cutting off mid-playback ... the sound player could be cleaned up part-way through a clip; players are now kept alive until the sound finishes

  • Fixed Breaking-impact events ignoring your configured color and showing hot pink instead ... they now use the color you set
  • Fixed news event dates mis-parsing under non-US Windows regional settings ... dates are now read consistently regardless of locale
  • Fixed the Alerts tab not being released when the News window was closed, which leaked memory (its alert list, view, and timers) on every open and close
  • Hardened the news alert timers and Breaking News updates against background-thread race conditions, fixing occasional crashes and binding errors during heavy news flow

  • Fixed: MatchedHeadline and RawHeadline updates are now marshalled to the UI thread to prevent WPF binding errors under the breaking news monitor
