Last updated: 28 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information XABCD Trading (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit xabcdtrading.com, buy from us, use our software or contact us; why we collect it; who we share it with; how long we keep it; and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language.

What we collect

You can browse our site without creating an account or giving us your name. We collect the following when you order, register, chat, contact us or use our software.

  • Account and order details: your name, email address, billing address, phone number, order history, and the products and licences you hold.
  • Software and licence details: when you activate our software we record your licence key, activation dates and the version of the software you are using.
  • Payment details: payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. We receive the result of the payment and basic details such as the card brand and last four digits. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Messages to us: what you send through live chat, support tickets, email or phone, with the time and the page you were on when you started a chat.
  • Technical and security data: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages and files requested. These appear in our server and security logs, including login attempts.
  • Newsletter and marketing sign-ups: your email address and what you subscribed to.

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

  • To provide what you ordered (process payments, deliver downloads and licences, run your account, give support). This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
  • To meet legal duties such as tax and accounting records.
  • To protect the site and prevent fraud and abuse, including the blocking described below. This is in our legitimate interest, and yours, in keeping the service secure.
  • To keep the site fast and working, using our own measurements of page speed, errors and which pages are used. These use no cookies or browser storage and are not used to follow you from one visit, or one site, to another.
  • To send marketing emails, only if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To answer your questions and requests, and to follow up after you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information.

Fraud prevention and blocking

If an account, email address, IP address or set of billing details is linked to fraud, a payment chargeback or abuse, we may add it to an internal block list and compare new orders and sign-ups against it, so that repeat abuse can be stopped. We also block temporary (disposable) email addresses when people register or check out. Blocks on IP addresses expire automatically after 6 months. We keep other entries only as long as they are needed to prevent repeat abuse. If you think you were blocked in error, contact us and we will look at it.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device; we also use similar browser storage. We use only what is needed to keep the site working: your cart, login, secure checkout and fraud prevention, and live chat. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics or advertising services run on this site, so we do not show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may stop working.

  • If you open our live chat, we store an identifier in your browser so the conversation can continue. This is created only when you start a chat.

This is the current list of the cookies and storage we use:

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Payments: Stripe and PayPal
  • Website delivery, hosting and security: Cloudflare (content delivery and protection against attacks), Google Cloud (hosting) and Wordfence (security software on our site)
  • Email: Google Workspace (Gmail) and Mailgun
  • Live chat: our chat runs on our own site and conversations are stored on our servers. While messages are delivered in real time they pass through Pusher, a real-time messaging service.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or to a successor if the business is sold or transferred.

Where your information is processed

We are based in Canada, and our providers may process information in Canada, the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as contracts that protect your information to the same standard.

How long we keep it

  • Order and payment records: 7 years. Canadian tax rules require us to keep these records for at least six years.
  • Account details: while your account is open, and for 1 year after it is closed, then deleted. Order records are kept as described above.
  • Support history: We do not set a fixed deletion date for live chat conversations, support tickets and support emails. Customers sometimes come back many years later, so we keep this history for as long as it is useful for helping you. We review older records from time to time and may delete them sooner, for example to free up storage. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
  • Security logs: Security and login logs (including IP addresses) are kept for as long as they help us protect the site and investigate fraud and abuse. If you ask us to delete yours, we will reply within 30 days and, where we are able to, complete the deletion within 12 months. We may need to keep some entries longer if the law requires it or to deal with an ongoing security matter.
  • Page-visit records kept by our live chat for visitors who did not start a conversation: deleted after 90 days.
  • Anonymous banner totals: kept without a time limit, because they contain no personal information.
  • Cookie-choice records: up to 24 months.
  • Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example Canada, British Columbia, Quebec, the European Union, the United Kingdom or certain US states), you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information, or restrict how we use it, where the law allows;
  • stop using it for marketing, or withdraw a consent you gave;
  • give you your information in a portable format.

You can update most account details by logging in, or by chatting with us or sending a ticket. To make a request, write to support@xabcdtrading.com. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we aim to reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the data protection authority where you live.

If you live in the United States

  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we do not track you across sites or show advertising based on your activity, so these browser signals change nothing on our site.
  • Third-party tracking: no third-party analytics or advertising trackers run on our site.
  • State privacy laws: residents of some states, such as California, may have the rights listed above and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. We also do not share it for targeted advertising.
  • Breaches: if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law in your state requires.

Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only to people who have agreed to receive them, in line with Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) and the US CAN-SPAM Act. Every message says who it is from, is identified as marketing, and includes our address and an unsubscribe link. You can also write to support@xabcdtrading.com and we will remove you promptly. Order and account emails are not marketing and will continue while you have an account or an open order.

Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access, security monitoring and malware scanning. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information in a way that the law says must be reported, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Children

Our site and products are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site may link to or embed other sites and services. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site or by email.
